
Air India shifts Jodhpur flights to new terminal
Air India has shifted all its Jodhpur operations to the airport’s New Terminal Building from July 12, 2026. The airline currently operates 14 weekly flights to Mumbai and 12 to Delhi. Spread across 23,342 square metres, the terminal features 20 check-in counters, advanced security screening, modern baggage systems and six aerobridges. Passengers have been advised to arrive early during the transition for a smoother airport experience and convenient onward connectivity.
Maharashtra Tourism showcases MICE offerings at WOW Awards
Maharashtra Tourism participated as Presenting Partner at the 17th WOW Awards Asia, held at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. Its immersive pavilion showcased MICE offerings, destination wedding venues, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, coastal, wildlife and adventure tourism. The event attracted over 6,000 delegates from 25 countries and featured key sessions on tourism, events and Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
Atmosphere Core makes European debut in Italy
Atmosphere Core will make its European debut with the opening of Borgo Monchiero Heritage in Italy’s UNESCO-listed Langhe region on July 16, 2026. Co-founded by Indian entrepreneur Salil Panigrahi, the hospitality group is expanding beyond the Maldives and India. The restored 18th-century monastery blends heritage architecture with contemporary design, gastronomy and wellness, while preserving its historic character. The project also received the Rēgula Award 2025.
Switrus Holidays launches Asia-focused brand
Switrus Holidays will launch Switrus Asia in August 2026, marking its expansion beyond Europe-focused group tours. The new brand will initially cover Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, Bali and Thailand. Switrus plans to replicate its structured Europe tour model with curated itineraries and professional tour management for Indian travellers. Over 13 years, the company has operated 1,200-plus Europe tours and served more than 45,000 customers nationwide.
