New Delhi: Saint Petersburg, Russia’s Northern Capital, will participate in BLTM 2026 – Business+Leisure and MICE International Travel Exhibition, being held from September 2 to 4, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi.
The city will present its growing potential for Indian travellers across business tourism, MICE, leisure, culture and weddings. Saint Petersburg is participating at BLTM for the fifth consecutive year, with its stand expected to become a key meeting point for Indian travel professionals seeking new international opportunities.
Saint Petersburg is one of Russia’s most important cultural, economic and business centres. Its historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while its modern infrastructure supports major international conferences, congresses and exhibitions. The city hosts hundreds of business events every year, attracting thousands of participants from around the world.
India remains an important source market for Saint Petersburg. Indian visitors are drawn to the city’s cultural attractions, business-event infrastructure and opportunities for wedding celebrations. The availability of electronic visas for Indian citizens is also supporting travel demand.
The city has taken additional steps to strengthen its appeal among Indian travellers. Its Welcome India programme, designed for hospitality professionals, focuses on improving services and experiences for visitors from the Indian market. Indian travellers can also find a growing choice of Indian restaurants across the city.

Beyond business, Saint Petersburg offers a wide range of experiences. The State Hermitage Museum, Peterhof, Tsarskoye Selo and the city’s famous drawbridges remain major attractions, while new public spaces, festivals, boat tours, wellness experiences and creative tourism products are adding to its appeal.
With more than 1,200 hotels, the destination offers accommodation across categories and price points. Its gastronomic scene ranges from traditional Russian cuisine to contemporary restaurants, further strengthening its proposition for international visitors.
Saint Petersburg also serves as a gateway to wider Russia. Initiatives such as “Two Cities – A Million Impressions”, connecting Saint Petersburg and Moscow, and the “Silver Necklace of Russia” routes offer opportunities to build multi-destination itineraries.

At BLTM 2026, Saint Petersburg will engage with travel companies, MICE planners, corporate buyers and other industry stakeholders. The participation is expected to create opportunities for new partnerships, business projects and stronger India–Russia tourism ties.
BLTM 2026 brings together leading buyers and sellers from India and overseas, with a particular focus on the Business+Leisure and MICE segments, providing Saint Petersburg with a focused platform to strengthen its presence in the Indian travel market.
