Launched in 2001, the Muscat–Kochi service has carried thousands of passengers over the past quarter century, supporting family travel, business and trade while strengthening ties between Oman and India. The route remains one of Oman Air’s strongest-performing services, with up to 14 flights operating each week.
Ahmed Al Mahrouqi, Vice President Global Sales at Oman Air, said the milestone reflects the strength and longevity of the relationship between Oman and Kerala, as well as the wider India–Oman connection. He reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to strengthening connectivity between the two countries while continuing to deliver its distinctive travel experience.

The anniversary was celebrated on August 18 at TDM Hall, Kochi, where Oman Air also honoured its valued trade partners and associations. The event coincided with celebrations of the vibrant Onam festival, including a traditional Onam Sadhya.
India continues to be an important market for Oman Air’s global network of 49 destinations. The airline’s Muscat–Mumbai route also completed 30 years in 2025, further highlighting its long-standing presence in the Indian market.
