The award was presented during a glittering ceremony held as part of the 56th Annual Convention of the Federation of Hotels & Restaurants Association of India (FHRAI) in Varanasi. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Union Minister of India, Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
A Young Leader with a Strong Hospitality Legacy
Ms. Taldar comes from a family with a deep-rooted association with the hospitality industry. Having aspired to enter the world of hospitality since childhood, she was inspired by her father, Mr. Ratan Taldar, who has been associated with the industry for more than four decades. Following in her father’s footsteps, she has built her own journey as a young hospitality entrepreneur with a strong focus on excellence, innovation and responsible growth.
Her academic credentials reflect her commitment to the profession. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai, followed by a Master’s degree from the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, Dubai, as well as studies at École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland, one of the world’s leading hospitality institutions.
Championing Sustainable and Innovative Hospitality
Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, Ms. Taldar has worked towards creating a hospitality business that blends international standards with authentic Indian hospitality. Her approach focuses on delivering excellence while embracing innovation and sustainable growth.
She has actively promoted sustainable hospitality initiatives across her hotels, including the introduction of reusable glass bottles, plantation drives and measures to reduce plastic waste. Her efforts reflect her belief that entrepreneurship goes beyond business growth and carries a responsibility towards society, the environment and the people associated with an organisation.
Ms. Taldar has also played an important role in driving technology adoption across hotel operations, using innovation to enhance guest experiences and contribute to the evolving hospitality landscape.
