“India, with its burgeoning middle class and evolving consumer preferences, has emerged as a significant player in the global outbound tourism landscape. The Indian tourist, with their unique tastes and cultural nuances, presents a vast untapped market for global tourism providers. In 2022 almost 20 million Indians have travelled overseas. We are expected to reach the pre-pandemic levels this year and full recovery is expected by 2024. India’s outbound is growing much faster than any other country. However, to achieve anything, it is important for stakeholders to work together to nurture and maximise the benefits of outbound tourism.”
