#First Opinion
“The wedding industry in India is a vibrant tapestry of culture and creativity, poised to tell timeless stories. However, for it to truly flourish, we need a unified approach to address some critical issues. First, a streamlined, single-window clearance system for public performance and music licenses is essential, as the current process complicates event planning. Second, the hotel industry often imposes high costs, deterring international clients. Without government incentives on taxation and utilities, hotels struggle to offer competitive rates, creating a catch-22 situation. Lastly, we must promote our heritage properties, which are often inaccessible due to complex permission processes.”
