FIRST OPINION
“Empowering Micro, Small & Medium Entrepreneurs help rural tourism in generating employment. A large population of India (around 70 per cent of the population) resides in rural areas and is dependent solely on agriculture. When we promote tourism through empowerment of MSMEs in these areas without disturbing the ecology and environment of a place, India is bound to become a great tourist destination in South East Asia and our unemployment problem can be resolved. The Ministry of Finance has provided lot of importance to the MSMEs in the hospitality sector by introducing various attractive schemes, providing easy loans with partial collateral security and at lower interest rate for start-up companies. Transportation is a key area and MSME policy is also helpful in providing finance to start-up transporters.”
