Varanasi/BOTT: The Light and Sound Show at Sarnath, the meditation ground of Lord Buddha, will soon be seen and heard in a new format. The show will feature an analog digital surrounding system and advanced laser technology. Efforts are underway to conduct the light and sound show, encompassing all episodes of Lord Buddha’s life, with higher technology than before. The light and sound show, which will be presented in two languages, also proposes to add a third language, Pali, in the future. The tourism department is striving to launch the light and sound show for tourists before Dev Deepawali.
In Sarnath, the life and episodes related to Lord Buddha will now be shown with 3D effects. Deputy Director of Tourism, R.K. Rawat, informed that the old script of the light and sound show is being expanded. It will include the entire life story of Lord Buddha. The duration of the light and sound show will be approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Currently, the show will run in Hindi and English, but there are plans to add the Pali language in the future.
The Deputy Director of Tourism stated that instead of analog normal, the light and sound show will now be presented with an analog digital surround system and advanced laser-based technology. The quality of sound and pictures in the show operated with new technology will be of very high quality. The existing light and sound show in Sarnath is being revamped with new and modern technology, with a cost of approximately 180 million rupees.
