The initiative brought together 14 delegates from Morocco and more than 300 travel trade professionals across four cities, offering insights into the country’s diverse leisure tourism experiences and strengthening partnerships with the Indian travel trade.

The Delhi edition of the roadshow was attended by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Maliki, Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to India. Addressing the gathering, he said, “The roadshow is a reflection of the deep and enduring friendship between Morocco and India. Tourism is one of the most powerful expressions of that friendship, and we are committed to ensuring that the Indian travel trade has the knowledge and inspiration to bring more Indian travellers to our Kingdom.”
MNTO highlighted Morocco’s growing popularity among Indian travellers, with Indian arrivals reportedly increasing by 224% since 2019. In 2025, Morocco welcomed 53,697 Indian visitors, reflecting a 31% year-on-year growth. The tourism board also underlined Morocco’s ongoing infrastructure developments ahead of the country co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Commenting on the success of the roadshow, Mr. Jamal Kilito, Country Manager – India, MNTO, stated, “India is one of Morocco’s fastest growing and most strategically important source markets, and the enthusiasm we have witnessed from the travel trade across all four cities has been truly encouraging. Our focus goes beyond awareness as we are building lasting partnerships that drive real conversion, and this roadshow is central to that mission.”

With a target of attracting 75,000 Indian visitors in 2026, MNTO aims to further strengthen Morocco’s positioning as a preferred long-haul leisure destination for Indian travellers through continued engagement with the travel trade across the country.
