World of Travel Factory (WOTF Group), with TAFI Western India, hosted an agent education tour to Athens, aligned with IndiGo’s inaugural direct Mumbai–Athens service. Seventeen TAFI-member travel professionals explored Athens and Rhodes over six days, experiencing key attractions including the Acropolis, Argosaronic Gulf cruise and Rhodes’ medieval Old Town. The initiative aims to expand Greece’s destination appeal in the Indian market.

Washington, DC has been named the safest and most inclusive LGBTQ+ honeymoon destination in the U.S. by Love Inc.’s inaugural LGBTQ+ Honeymoon Safety Index. The equality-minded wedding publication ranked all 50 states and DC based on legal protections, community climate, hate-crime data, inclusive hospitality and access to affirming care. DC earned the highest overall score, praised for robust protections and strong queer-affirming tourism offerings.
Marriott Maldives appoints dedicated India Sales Team
Marriott International in the Maldives has announced a dedicated Destination Sales Team for India to deepen trade partnerships and boost commercial performance. Vaishali Shah will lead as Market Director, based in New Delhi, driving India-wide sales across Marriott’s Maldives resort portfolio. The team includes Rahul Gupta, Karishma Kazi and Reena Sharma, bringing strong expertise in trade relations, sales strategy and market development to support sustained revenue growth.

Viasat, a global leader in satellite communications, is sharpening its focus on in-flight connectivity in India as the aviation market scales rapidly. The company, authorised for IFC services since 2020, supports commercial airlines, business jets and strategic government platforms.
