#First Opinion
“India is commanding global attention at a defining moment, and the BRICS Summit will put considerable focus on room inventory. Our hospitality infrastructure has not kept pace with our tourism ambition. India currently has only about 200,000–220,000 branded hotel rooms, while demand is projected to grow at 8–10% CAGR through FY28. Capital and investor confidence are no longer the constraint. What will determine whether this pipeline translates into capacity on the ground is execution speed—faster clearances, single-window approvals, rationalised taxes, Industry Status and uniform Infrastructure Status.”
