#First Opinion
“Looking ahead, I’d watch three things. First, event-anchored travel, where agents build trips around fixed dates rather than seasons. Second, airfare-led substitution, pushing demand towards Central Asia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and East Africa. Third, the maturing of Tier-2 and Tier-3 agents, who now expect metro-level rate access. The deeper shift is consolidation. Global ground supply remains fragmented, and businesses that organise it into something agents can transact on instantly will define the industry’s next phase.”
