Singapore records over 600,000 Indian arrivals in H1 2026
Singapore welcomed more than 600,000 visitors from India between January and June 2026, reflecting steady growth from the market. Tourism receipts from India reached S$374 million in Q1, rising 8% year-on-year. Building on the momentum, Singapore Tourism Board is strengthening partnerships, introducing new destination experiences and sharpening marketing initiatives to encourage repeat travel and reinforce Singapore’s appeal among Indian leisure and MICE travellers.
Cygnett expands Cozzet Brand to Gopalpur, Odisha
Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has signed Cozzet VICASA Gopalpur, a 50-room brownfield hotel located around 800 metres from Gopalpur Sea Beach, scheduled to open in March 2027. The property will feature sea-view rooms, nearly 2,500 sq. ft. of banquet space and a rooftop restaurant. The signing strengthens Cygnett’s expansion across emerging leisure markets, with Cozzet’s development pipeline now exceeding 600 keys across India.
The Fern Residency Godhra opens in Gujarat
The Fern Hotels & Resorts has launched The Fern Residency Godhra, Series by Marriott, marking its 40th operational property in Gujarat. Located on Dahod Road Highway, the hotel features 64 rooms and suites, the pure vegetarian Cinnamon restaurant, and multiple event spaces including Crystal Hall, Grand Ball Room and Utsav Lawn. The property caters to corporate travellers, weddings and leisure guests, while offering Marriott Bonvoy benefits to members.
Dubai International welcomes 31.5 million guests in H1 2026
Dubai International Airport welcomed 31.5 million passengers during the first half of 2026, including 13 million in Q2, as airline capacity and connectivity gradually recovered. Despite regional airspace constraints, monthly traffic strengthened through the second quarter. DXB was served by nearly 50 international airlines connecting 217 destinations across 99 countries. Dubai Airports expects stronger H2 momentum, supported by network recovery, winter schedules and Dubai’s business and leisure events.
