India remains Sentosa’s largest international source market

Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) is strengthening its focus on the Indian market as demand for experiential, family and premium travel continues to grow.

India remains Sentosa’s largest international source market, with visitor numbers increasing 8 per cent year-on-year from April 2025 to March 2026.

The growth underscores the increasing importance of India as Sentosa’s largest international source market and reflects evolving traveller behaviour, such as growing interest in celebration travel, multi-generational holidays, immersive experiences and journeys that blend leisure with purposeful travel.

“India remains a strategically important market for Sentosa, not only because of its scale today, but because of the long-term opportunity it represents. Indian travellers are increasingly discerning, and drawn to destinations that offer genuine depth, variety and the kind of memories worth returning for.

At Sentosa, we are not simply keeping pace with that shift, we are shaping what comes next. Through next-generation experiences, year-round programming and a forward-looking vision for Greater Sentosa, we are building a destination that will resonate with generations of Indian travellers to come,” said Addison Goh, Divisional Director, Business & Experience Development.

Capitalising on the growing interest in bleisure and incentive travel

Beyond leisure tourism, Sentosa is also seeing growing opportunities in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment. This is particularly evident among Indian corporate travellers, who are increasingly seeking destinations that blend business with meaningful leisure experiences.

With 19 hotels, over 4,000 rooms, diverse event venues, beaches, attractions and dining experiences located within a single destination, Sentosa offers organisations a unique island setting where delegates can seamlessly move from meetings and networking sessions to leisure and wellness experiences.

Sentosa is also expanding its suite of learning and lifestyle offerings for MICE groups. Launching later this year, a new heritage discovery game kit invites delegates to explore the island’s history and culture through collaborative mission-based challenges, complete with an exclusive souvenir keepsake. The Food Discovery Pass further enhances the experience with exclusive discounts and dining deals across a curated selection of restaurants, from casual beachside dining to fine dining establishments across the island.

Located just 15 minutes from Singapore’s Central Business District and 25 minutes from Changi Airport, the island is well-positioned to meet the needs of modern business travellers seeking more immersive and memorable event experiences.

A destination built for every kind of traveller

Known as Singapore’s premier island destination, Sentosa is home to a diverse range of ticketed and free attractions and experiences.

Ticketed highlights include favourites among Indian travellers such as the Singapore Cable Car, featuring the world’s first chrome-finished spherical SkyOrb Cabins with a glass floor, Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony. Among its free attractions are iconic landmarks and scenic experiences such as Sentosa Sensoryscape and the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, alongside family-friendly beach experiences across Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong Beach.

The island also continues to introduce new experiences and attractions for returning visitors.

In June 2026, Skypark Sentosa relaunched with the introduction of Skyslides by Klook, a new dual-slide attraction featuring two 44-metre dry slides that rank among Southeast Asia’s tallest. The addition expands Skypark Sentosa’s line-up of adventure experiences, which also includes Singapore’s only Bungy Jump, Giant Swing and Skybridge. Designed for different ages, comfort levels and play styles, the attraction offers visitors panoramic views of Sentosa in a fun and accessible setting.

At Palawan Beach, guests can now send a limited-edition postcard from Singapore’s most scenic posting box. Launched in partnership with SingPost in April 2026, the initiative transforms a simple postcard into a memorable keepsake, whether sent home to loved ones or kept as a souvenir of a Sentosa getaway.

Beyond these offerings, Sentosa curates a robust calendar of more than 30 events annually spanning food, sports, culture and entertainment, including collaborations with globally renowned IPs to deliver differentiated, immersive experiences.

A recent example is ‘A Magical Island Adventure: Let’s Set Sail with Disney Cruise Line,’ a first-of-its-kind island-wide collaboration running from June 24 to September 20, 2026 that transforms Sentosa into a day-to-night adventure trail, offering an immersive experience for families.

Also returning for its ninth edition is Sentosa GrillFest 2026, Singapore’s favourite beachfront food festival taking place from July 23 to August 16, 2026 at Siloso Beach. For Indian travellers who love bold flavours and the theatre of live-fire cooking, this year’s edition introduces Chef’s Grill. The first-ever eight-course omakase-inspired dining experience, co-curated with the Singapore Chefs’ Association, is served in an air-conditioned beachfront pavilion where guests watch live-fire techniques up close from a curated roster of Singapore chefs. Bold and intimate, it is the kind of chef-led dining experience that is hard to find anywhere else, bringing together omakase-style dining, live-fire cooking and a beachfront setting.

Reimagining the future of Sentosa

Looking ahead, SDC is advancing the Greater Sentosa Master Plan (GSMP), a long-term transformation that is anchored on the vision of Sentosa as Singapore’s ‘Island Playground and Sanctuary in a Global City,’ the GSMP intends to bring together new iconic landmarks, reimagined beaches and coastlines, nature-centric growth, and enhanced connectivity to create more compelling reasons for guests to return across different times of the day and seasons of life. For Indian visitors, this means an ever-evolving destination with new reasons to return.

Over the coming decades, the development will introduce new iconic landmarks and attractions, enhanced connectivity, rejuvenated beaches and lifestyle experiences across Greater Sentosa, with the ambition of attracting twice as many visitors as the destination welcomes today.

Future highlights include the Imbiah Canopy, a new landmark atop Mount Imbiah that will offer sweeping views across the island. Nearby, the Imbiah Lookout Walk will take guests on an elevated forest canopy experience. On the waterfront, the Sensorium will introduce a new beachfront lifestyle destination. Guests can also enjoy the rejuvenated experiences across Sentosa’s coastline. Enhanced transport infrastructure will make the journey to and around Greater Sentosa part of the visitor experience itself.

As Greater Sentosa takes shape over the coming decades, the island’s ambition remains clear – to be the world’s best-loved island playground and sanctuary within a global city, where discovery never ends.
