Visa fees for Indian nationals travelling to Japan will remain unchanged despite a global fee restructuring set to take effect on July 1, 2026. VFS Global confirmed that there is no change in visa fees for Indian nationals as per Japan revised visa fees effective from July 1 2026. The charges for a single entry visa or multiple entry visa remains the same INR 500
Although, for Foreign Nationals applying for Japan visa in India the fees have been revised. The fees are now INR 8,650 for single entry and INR 17,350 for multiple entry.
In addition, the Transit Visa category has been discontinued for all nationalities. Applicants intending to transit through Japan will now be required to apply for a Temporary Visitor Visa.
