In a significant move to strengthen international travel and business ties, Belarus has officially added India to its list of e-Visa eligible nations. The decision introduces a streamlined digital visa application process designed to make entry procedures faster, smoother, and far more accessible for Indian leisure tourists, corporate delegates, and travel trade partners.
Belarus now allows Indian passport holders to apply online for single-entry stays of up to 30 days. The application must be submitted at least 7 calendar days before the intended date of entry through the online portal. Depending on the purpose of travel to Belarus entry e-visas are issued for a business trip; participation in sporting, cultural, scientific, educational events and internships; private affairs; tourism.
The electronic visa facility marks a major step forward in enhancing bilateral relations between India and Belarus. By shifting the visa procedure online, the framework eliminates lengthy paperwork and administrative delays. Belarusian authorities anticipate that this transition will not only make holiday planning effortless but will also accelerate trade discussions, joint investment opportunities, and B2B corporate negotiations across both markets.
To complement the simplified visa framework, air connectivity between the two countries is undergoing strategic expansion. Direct flights already connect New Delhi directly to the Belarusian capital of Minsk, giving Indian travellers a straightforward route into the region. To accommodate anticipated growth in travel demand, direct flight connections from major commercial and leisure hubs, including Mumbai and Goa are slated to join the network soon.
With travel barriers lowered and air routes opening up, ground support network operators are stepping in to facilitate seamless visits.
