
Beginning June 15, spectators will be able to look up and see the final scores of Seattle-hosted World Cup matches displayed by a fleet of illuminated drones. The aerial scoreboard will feature each team’s national flag alongside the match result, creating a spectacular visual experience against Seattle’s iconic skyline and the famous Space Needle.
Developed by Visit Seattle, the city’s official destination marketing organization, the innovative activation reflects Seattle’s reputation as a hub of technology, creativity, and passionate sports fandom. The drone displays are designed to celebrate the city’s role as a host destination while offering fans a unique way to engage with the tournament.
The drone scoreboard will appear on the night of each World Cup match hosted in Seattle, including:
- June 15 – Belgium vs. Egypt
- June 19 – USA vs. Australia
- June 24 – Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar
- June 26 – Egypt vs. IR Iran
- July 1 – Round of 32
- July 6 – Round of 16
The displays are expected to take place between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Pacific Time, subject to weather and operational conditions.
