The announcement was made during the ongoing GBTA APAC Conference 2025, held in collaboration with the WERC® Regional Summit at Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore. The move is part of GBTA’s broader regional growth strategy aimed at empowering the business travel community through local engagement, regional insights, and tailored solutions.
India Advisory Board Announced
Ajay Bhatt, Group Head – Corporate Services at Godrej Industries Group, has been appointed Chairperson of the 15-member GBTA India Advisory Board. The board brings together top travel and corporate leaders from companies such as Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, World Bank, Reliance Industries, Accenture, Thomas Cook, Indian Hotels Company, and more.
China Advisory Board Formed
GBTA also unveiled its 10-member China Advisory Board, chaired by senior executives from leading organizations including BCD Travel, General Motors, Turkish Airlines, Langham Hospitality Group, ExxonMobil, Mars, and others. These members will contribute to strategic planning, share market intelligence, and foster collaboration in one of the fastest-growing business travel markets.
The launch of these boards follows the successful formation of GBTA’s Australia Advisory Board earlier this year. GBTA has also expanded its regional presence by hiring local staff in India, Singapore, and Australia, further underlining its commitment to APAC.
