The airline also received two additional SKYTRAX honours — Best Economy Class Onboard Catering in Africa and Best Business Class in Africa. The recognition highlights Ethiopian Airlines’ continued focus on service quality, customer experience and connectivity across its growing global network.

In a move to further expand its African network, Ethiopian Airlines will launch a thrice-weekly passenger service to Nacala, making it the airline’s third destination in Mozambique after Maputo and Beira. The service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using a Boeing B737-8 aircraft.
The new route will connect Nacala with Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive network via Addis Ababa, strengthening connectivity for business and leisure travellers while supporting trade, tourism and economic exchange between Mozambique, Ethiopia and other markets across Africa.
Commenting on the commencement of the new service, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said, “As a pan-African airline, expanding our presence in Mozambique with a third destination is truly a proud moment for us. The commencement of this flight will further strengthen the relationship between the people of Mozambique and Ethiopia. The Nacala service will further strengthen Ethiopian Airlines’ presence in Mozambique and contribute to the airline’s wider strategy of improving intra-African connectivity. With more than 65 destinations across the continent, Ethiopian Airlines continues to expand its network while investing in modern aircraft, digital innovation and service enhancements.
