Timed around the “Lebaran” holiday period, the sailings offer families, friends and loved ones in both markets a new way to spend more time together, enjoy a holiday at sea and explore a new destination – whether sailing from Jakarta to Singapore or Singapore to Jakarta.
Rather than arranging flights, accommodation, meals and activities separately, guests can enjoy many elements of their holiday in one place. From the comfort of their own cabin and onboard dining to entertainment, activities and time together at sea, the cruise offers an easy and enjoyable way for families to make the most of the festive break.
“We are delighted to offer travellers from Indonesia and Singapore a new way to celebrate the Lebaran festive season, bringing families and loved ones together for a holiday filled with quality time, shared experiences and discovery,” said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. “Guests can enjoy the ease and comfort of a cruise holiday, with halal dining options, live entertainment and plenty of activities to enjoy together. We hope these special sailings will inspire more families in both markets to discover cruising as a memorable way to spend their festive break.”
A Festive Holiday That Starts in Jakarta or Singapore For many Muslims, “Lebaran” is a time for family, togetherness and taking a well-earned break. This year, families can consider something different from the usual holiday – setting sail together and making the journey part of the celebration.
With Star Voyager, guests can board in Jakarta or Singapore and settle into their holiday without the need to change hotels or pack and unpack as they travel. During the cruise, families can spend time together over meals, enjoy live entertainment and take part in activities onboard, before arriving at their destination ready to explore.
Those sailing from Jakarta can discover Singapore, from shopping along Orchard Road and exploring Gardens by the Bay to visiting Sentosa and experiencing the city’s diverse food and family attractions. For guests sailing from Singapore, Jakarta offers a chance to experience Indonesia’s vibrant capital, with its shopping, dining, culture and city attractions.
After exploring their destination, guests simply return to the ship and sail back to their starting point, making for a convenient round-trip holiday experience.
Halal Dining for a More Comfortable Family Holiday
For families celebrating “Lebaran”, food is an important part of the holiday experience. Star Voyager offers a variety of Asian flavours and international dining choices, together with a dedicated halal dining section at the Lido restaurant onboard. This gives Muslim guests greater convenience when planning their meals throughout the cruise and allows families and groups to enjoy their holiday together with greater peace of mind.
Something for Everyone in the Family
One of the advantages of cruising is that everyone can enjoy the same holiday in their own way. Families can come together for live international stage performances, a glamorous Red Carpet Gala evening with the Captain and international entertainers, music and dancing, BBQ parties and relaxing spa experiences. Younger guests can make the most of the pool and waterslides, zipline and wall climbing, while Little Dreamers gives them a space of their own to play, explore and have fun.
Whether it is joining in the fun, trying something new or simply relaxing together, there is something for every member of the family to enjoy throughout the cruise.
More Ways to Sail Between Jakarta and Singapore
In addition to the two special round-trip “Lebaran” sailings from Jakarta, Star Voyager will offer one-way sailings between Singapore and Jakarta around the March 2027 cruises.
Before the Jakarta sailings begin, guests can take a one-way 2 Night Cruise from Singapore to Jakarta, departing on 5 March 2027. Following the final Jakarta sailing, guests can also extend their cruise experience with a one-way 2 Night Cruise from Jakarta to Singapore, departing on 15 March 2027.
These additional sailings offer greater flexibility for travellers who would like to sail from Singapore to Jakarta or from Jakarta to Singapore, whether as part of a longer holiday or a different way to travel between the two cities.
With StarCruises, this “Lebaran” season, the holiday can begin a little differently – with the family together, the sea ahead and Singapore and Jakarta waiting along the way.
