Island escapes for the whole family: Relax and Reconnect at  Sun Siyam Resorts’ multi-bedroom villas

Escape to a world where family time feels effortless and extraordinary. Sun Siyam Resorts invites you to discover six unique island escapes, each offering a distinct blend of barefoot luxury, spacious multi-bedroom villas, and curated experiences tailored for all ages.

July 1, 2025

From overwater adventures and vibrant marine life to serene spa rituals and island-inspired cuisine, every resort is a celebration of connection, joy, and discovery, designed to bring families closer in the most breathtaking settings of the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

A World of Resorts, A World of Experiences

Siyam World
As one of the Maldives’ largest resort islands, Siyam World spans over 4 km of beach and 6 km of reef. Accommodations range from chic one-bedroom villas to sprawling six-bedroom Beach Residences and Pool Villas, many with private pools or slides directly into the ocean. Families can also choose from 2-3 bedroom overwater villas, like the Two-Bedroom and Three-Bedroom Lagoon Villas with Pool Slide, offering generous space and direct lagoon access.

There’s no better place for families than the resort’s 24 luxurious multi-room Beach Residences and Pavilions, ranging from one to four bedrooms, designed in contemporary Maldivian style with space, privacy, and access to all the resort’s facilities. Highlights include all-day in-villa breakfast, optional floating breakfasts, an enhanced mini-bar and beverage package, and complimentary 60-minute spa treatments for adults staying 4+ nights. Selected villas also come with a personal MOKE (electric beach car) for added convenience.

The resort’s attractions are endless: the Maldives’ largest floating water park, horse-riding ranch, thrilling jet cars, game rooms, and the 2024-launched Speed Racers Circuit—the country’s first electric go-kart track. Families also enjoy football camps with elite coaches, kayaking, padel tennis, zumbini classes, kids’ yoga, and magical stargazing nights. Siyam World recently earned a TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award, placing it among the top 10 best hotels worldwide, making it a must-visit for families.

Sun Siyam Olhuveli
For families seeking a laid-back tropical escape, Sun Siyam Olhuveli offers an idyllic setting in South Malé Atoll. Spacious Grand Beach Suites and Grand Water Villas provide generous indoor-outdoor living, sun decks, and private beach or lagoon access. Families can also choose the exclusive Two Bedroom Beach Residence on Dream Island, perfect for privacy and space, or the luxurious Presidential Water Suite on Olhuveli Main Island for an ultra-premium stay.

Olhuveli’s family-friendly offerings include reef snorkeling, dolphin cruises, private Floating Dinner, and serene spa experiences. The kids’ club ensures younger guests are engaged while parents enjoy poolside serenity or wellness therapies. Here, up to two children under 15 to stay and dine free in the same villas as their parents.

Sun Siyam Iru Fushi

Ringed by white-sand beaches in the Noonu Atoll, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi offers a perfect mix of luxury and meaningful experiences for families. Previously voted the Best Family Resort at the World Travel Awards, the resort welcomes up to two children under 15 to stay and dine free, making it ideal for multigenerational travel.

Spacious family-friendly accommodations include two and three-bedroom Aqua, Hidden and Celebrity Retreats, Family Villas, and Deluxe Beach Villas with private pools. Set amidst lush gardens and by the beach or overwater, each villa features generous space, open-air bathrooms, and attentive butler service.

Families can enjoy snorkelling safaris, dolphin cruises, local cooking classes, and coral planting. Kids love the Nemo Garden, Koamas Kidz Club, and the child-friendly Sweet Pea Spa, while adults can unwind with 165+ treatments at the award-winning Spa by Thalgo France.

There’s plenty to do together—outdoor mini golf, tennis, nature trails, giant chess, watersports, hammocks, and scenic swings above the turquoise lagoon. Dining is equally expansive, with 15 restaurants and bars as part of one of the Maldives’ most impressive dine-around programs. Enjoy French, Italian, Maldivian, Indian, or Japanese fare or opt for themed buffets, teppanyaki, or a private family BBQ under the stars.

Sun Siyam Iru Veli
A beach chic premium all-inclusive resort, Sun Siyam Iru Veli offers beachfront and overwater suites with private pools and uninterrupted lagoon views, perfectly suited for stylish families. The resort features two unique two-bedroom villas designed for family comfort and luxury: the Two-Bedroom Beach Residence with Pool and the Family Beach Villa with Pool. Additionally, the Two-Bedroom Ocean Residence with Pool offers an overwater two-bedroom option ideal for those seeking privacy and spectacular ocean views.

Guests can enjoy glass-floored lounges for dolphin watching, a tranquil spa, dive center, and a vibrant dining scene. Activities range from pool parties and water sports to marine explorations and island-hopping adventures.

Sun Siyam Vilu Reef
A boutique gem in Dhaalu Atoll, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef is ideal for couples or smaller families seeking barefoot luxury and vibrant reef life. Water Villas, many with private pools, overlook thriving coral ecosystems perfect for snorkeling and diving. Recently awarded the Indian Ocean’s Leading Water Villa Resort (2024), Vilu Reef balances romance, wellness, and eco-conscious experiences for intimate island escapes.

Sun Siyam Pasikudah (Sri Lanka)
Extending the Sun Siyam experience beyond the Maldives, Pasikudah offers a tropical Sri Lankan coastal stay with beachfront villas, heritage excursions, and warm island hospitality. Families can explore ancient ruins, unwind at the spa, or enjoy private beach dining on the east coast’s pristine shores.

Activities for All Ages

Sun Siyam Resorts offers a comprehensive array of age-spanning experiences:

  • Water adventures: Snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding, jet skiing, hydrofoil e-bikes, and the worlds’ first Cuda jet underwater jet pack.
  • Family play: Floating water park, kids’ club with structured activities like treasure hunts and night camping, beachfront movie nights, and carnivals.
  • Land sports: Padel tennis, tennis, badminton, basketball, full-size football field, quad biking, and Moke (electric beach car) rentals.
  • Adventure thrills: Jet cars and go-karting at Siyam World’s Speed Racer Circuit, alongside the semi-submersible Seabreacher.
  • Wellness & culture: Spa experiences, yoga, plus immersive island rituals and coral-planting sustainability programs.

Home in Paradise
Every resort across Sun Siyam’s portfolio champions comfort, sustainability, and exceptional service. Since November 2024, Sun Siyam Resorts is the first hotel group in the Maldives to offer a true 24-hour all-inclusive concept at all its resorts. This model goes far beyond traditional meals: guests enjoy snacks, drinks, entertainment, and activities around the clock. From sunset fishing and dolphin tours to yoga classes and spa treatments, almost everything is included in the price. Families, couples, and pleasure-seekers especially appreciate the flexibility and transparency of this concept, which once originated at Siyam World and is now standard across the brand.

Sun Siyam Resorts also offer generous family-friendly policies: children under 15 stay and eat free at Sun Siyam Olhuveli and Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, while kids under 12 enjoy the same benefits at all other resorts when sharing a room with parents. These thoughtful touches make every getaway even more rewarding.

Multibedroom accommodations include private pools, direct beach or lagoon access, indoor and outdoor layouts, and full resort-standard amenities—ideal for extended families or groups of friends traveling together. Culinary offerings are world-class, wellness facilities are indulgent, and behind every experience is a team of dedicated Maldivian-born staff offering heartfelt hospitality.

“Our multi-bedroom villas are designed with connection in mind—spacious, private, and perfect for families or groups travelling together,” says Claudia Klingbeil, Group Director of PR & Communications at Sun Siyam Resorts. “Whether it is a barefoot movie night under the stars, a splash in the floating water park, or simply sharing breakfast by your own pool, every detail invites families to slow down, laugh louder, and create lasting memories. At Sun Siyam, we believe luxury means space to be together, and freedom to play, explore, and reconnect—on your own terms.”
