A qualified Chartered Accountant, Mr. Kanorwala is also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, where he completed the one-year Executive CFO Programme.
With over 15 years of experience in finance and accounts, Mr. Kanorwala brings extensive expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury, taxation, compliance, risk management, governance, strategic finance, and financial reporting.
Over the course of his career, he has been associated with several leading hospitality brands, including Hilton Hotels, Accor Hotels, and The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), giving him deep domain knowledge and strong insight into the hospitality industry.
Prior to joining Suba Hotels, Mr. Kanorwala served as Corporate Director – Finance at Roots Corporation Limited, which operates the Ginger brand under the IHCL Group. In this role, he was part of the key management team and oversaw the overall financial function of the organisation.
During his tenure, he played a significant role in driving strategic financial decision-making, supporting business growth, strengthening financial planning and discipline, and enhancing governance frameworks and internal controls. He also led several process transformation initiatives through technology and automation.
Suba Hotels said Mr. Kanorwala’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the company’s financial strategy and governance framework, while supporting its long-term expansion plans.
His wide-ranging experience across both global and Indian hospitality brands is likely to play an important role in helping Suba Hotels navigate the evolving hospitality landscape and drive sustainable growth.
