IATO is all set to organise its 35th Convention at ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata. The convention will be held from September 12-September 15, 2019. The association released its official logo with the tagline that says — Experience Bengal – The sweetest part of India.
The city of joy will be hosting the IATO convention after 17 years. Commenting on the occasion, Mr Pronab Sarkar, President, IATO said, “Mission 20 million tourists by 2020 is a huge task undertaken by the Tourism Ministry of India and being the apex association of inbound tour operators in India, it becomes IATO’s responsibility to assist the government in achieving the set target thus we have based the theme of our convention such thereby inspiring the inbound tour operators to target large traction of international travellers.”
Cordially inviting the members of the association to Bengal, Mr Atri Bhattacharya, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism and Director of WBTDCL said, “Kolkata is much cleaner, better and developed today with much better connectivity.” He added, “Kolkata is aggressively promoting cruise tourism and it is expected to be a niche tourism product in the coming years.”
