India’s MICE industry stands at an exciting crossroads. Over the past decade, the country has made significant investments in convention centres, hospitality infrastructure and connectivity, creating a strong foundation to compete with established global business events destinations. As international associations and event organisers increasingly seek destinations that combine modern infrastructure with rich cultural experiences, India is well positioned to emerge as a preferred choice.
While infrastructure is a key enabler, sustained growth will depend on stronger global marketing, closer collaboration between government and industry, and the ability to consistently deliver world-class delegate experiences. Equally important is embracing innovation, digital technologies and sustainable practices that are rapidly transforming the global meetings industry.
It is against this backdrop that the 15th Conventions India Conclave (CIC 2026) assumes great significance. Scheduled from August 19–21, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the conclave has evolved into India’s flagship platform for the MICE industry. Jointly organised by the India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), Delhi Tourism and the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the event reflects a shared commitment to strengthening India’s position as a leading global MICE destination.
Centred around the theme “Powering the Future of Innovation,” CIC 2026 will explore how technology, innovation and collaboration are reshaping business events worldwide. The conclave will feature knowledge sessions, panel discussions, exhibitions, networking opportunities and focused business interactions designed to generate meaningful partnerships.
One of the biggest attractions of this year’s conclave is its strong business orientation. More than 150 domestic and international buyers are expected to participate alongside convention bureaux, destination representatives, hotels, convention centres, corporate planners, association executives and event professionals. A structured programme of pre-scheduled B2B meetings, hosted buyer engagements, networking sessions and India’s MICE Showcase will provide participants with valuable opportunities to explore partnerships and expand their business networks.
The hosted buyer programme further enhances the event’s value proposition by offering accommodation, airport transfers, scheduled business meetings, networking events and optional post-event tours, ensuring productive engagement between buyers and exhibitors.
