Maldivian goes live on Amadeus GDS and joins BSP India
Maldivian has announced a significant advancement in its distribution network through a strategic partnership with Amadeus Global Distribution System (Amadeus GDS). Effective July 25, 2024, Maldivian has joined IATA’s Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) in the Indian market, alongside Amadeus GDS. Sales for all IATA-accredited BSP travel agents will be opened from August 14, 2024.
Thailand announces extension of Visa and longer stays
Thailand has announced new visa measures including 60-day visa exemption and Visa on Arrival (VOA) schemes, Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), and student visas, which takes effect from 15 July 2024. Thailand will grant visa exemption for nationals of 93 countries and territories including India. Thus, visa exemption for Indians has been extended beyond November 2024 till further notice.
Wyndham Garden Hotel Gwalior set to open in 2025
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has partnered with The Adityaz Hotels to open a world-class Wyndham Garden Hotel at Airport Road in Gwalior. The new hotel will have about 90 rooms along with All Day Dining & Bar Lounge, Meeting Rooms, Banquet Halls, Lawns, Business Centre, Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool. The hotel is expected to open in 2025.
Saudia ranks first worldwide in On-time Departure & Arrival performance
Saudia has topped the list of global airlines for on-time performance, according to a report by the independent aviation tracking site Cirium for June 2024. The report indicates that Saudia achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.22% and an on-time departure rate of 88.73%, operating 16,133 flights across its network of over 100 destinations on four continents.
