Ministry of Tourism launches a wedding tourism campaign
Ministry of Tourism has unveiled an ambitious campaign aimed at showcasing India as a premier wedding destination on the global stage. This campaign seeks to explore avenues of great potential, for scaling tourism in India to new heights. The campaign seeks to expand India’s wedding industry, by enticing couples from around the world to embark on a remarkable journey to celebrate their special day in India. The campaign begins with profiling about 25 key destinations.
Hong Kong Tourism Board brings back Travel Mission to India
HKTB will host its Travel Mission to India after a pause of three years. The annual event will include a delegation of 28 trade members comprising Hong Kong land operators, hoteliers, airlines, cruise company and attractions like Ocean Park Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Hong Kong, among others. The Hong Kong delegation will hold business sessions with the Indian trade partners in Bengaluru (August 22), Mumbai (August 23) and New Delhi (August 25).
Tourism Malaysia organises second road show in India
Tourism Malaysia continues with its second roadshow to India this year across six tier II cities from August 14 – 26, 2023. The roadshow kicked off in the city of Amritsar followed by Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune, Goaand Cochin.Headed by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture,YB Tuan KhairulFirdaus Akbar Khan, the roadshow was participated by 45 local organisations comprising hotels and resorts, travel agents, tourism product owners, etc.
J K Mohanty honoured at the 19th Annual Convocation of KIIT
At the 19th Annual Convocation of KIIT, deemed to be University, organised on August 19, 2023, His Excellency Governor of Odisha, Sri Ganeshi Lal conferred the Degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) on Mr. J K Mohanty, CMD, Swosti Group & Chairman of the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha for his outstanding contribution towards growth of tourism in the state.
