UK rolls out eVisa System from February 25, 2026
UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) will roll out eVisas for most visa categories from 25 February 2026, replacing traditional visa vignette stickers. The digital system removes the need for passport retention during processing and requires only one visit to a Visa Application Centre for biometrics and document submission. With over 10 million users already onboard, eVisas will become default proof of status, offering greater flexibility for international travel planning.
