The Meghalaya government is all set to resume its tourism activities. Tourists from outside the state will be allowed to enter the city from December 21. A list of SOPs with regards to the same has also been released.
One of the favourite tourist destinations of northeast India, Meghalaya is all set to welcome tourists from outside the state from December 21. The state had earlier put restrictions on tourists from entering the state since March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, few months back, on October 16, the state had opened its tourism activities for the local tourists. Signaling towards this new development, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma recently tweeted – “The #HomeOfClouds looks forward to welcoming you.”
