The recently concluded 12th Conventions India Conclave in Kochi, was a huge success that saw participation of various stakeholders from the industry.
The 12th CIC will be remembered as one of the best events as not only did it see the record number of Exhibitors and High Profile Buyers but was hosted interesting deliberations on potential of MICE and policy framework in achieving the target set by our Hon. Prime Minister to double the number and bring India within top Convention destinations of the World by 2023.
Few of the major highlights of the Event includes –
a) The announcement of E Conference Visa is now applicable to all Conferences which we in the Convention Industry feel can be a game changer and bring more numbers of International Conferences to India.
b) Release of MICE Planner which will not only help all Stake holders in the Industry but it will also help the Conference Organizers in India and abroad while planning their Event.
c) The opening of 2nd ICPB State Chapter in Kerala was again a proud moment for all of us as we strongly believe that in case we have to achieve the target set by our Hon. Prime Minister to double the number of International Conferences and bring India within top ten Convention destinations, the State Govt. have to be on Board and market India as a preferred Convention destination. For that the Ministry of Tourism has already initiated the process, the plans are to create a Corpus fund which can be used for Biding for International Conferences.
