Day 1 begun with an opening ceremony commenced with the traditional Gondi Act, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region followed by lamp lighting ceremony and speeches by dignitaries and the ministers.
Renowned actress and Wildlife Goodwill Ambassador of Maharashtra, Smt. Raveena Tandon graced the occasion as the special guest and emphasised on the importance of preserving our natural heritage. The highlight of the evening was the heartfelt message by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, emphasising the significance of wildlife conservation and sustainable development. It also included a musical performance by Shreya Ghoshal.
Day 2 witnessed a historic moment as it achieved the Guinness World Record for the largest potted sapling formation, shaped as “Bharat Mata”. Mr.Sudhir Mungantiwar, the Honourable Minister of the Forest Department, along with several other officials, officiated the event, symbolising the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability and cultural preservation. The cultural festivities were enriched by performances from renowned artist Rickey Kej.
Day 3 kicked off with the much-anticipated treasure hunt, Cyclothon- a thrilling ride through the heart of Tadoba’s wilderness. Back at the festival grounds, creativity took centre stage with a vibrant painting competition, attracting more than 100 individuals eager to showcase their artistic talents. It also witnessed an engaging panel discussion on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in partnership with TOFT, underscoring the vital role of collaboration and innovation in wildlife conservation.
Against the backdrop of Tadoba’s natural beauty, participants unleashed their creativity, capturing the essence of wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship through their artwork. Celebrated actress and environmental advocate, Smt. Hema Malini addressed the press, where she highlighted the significance of wildlife conservation and the unparalleled beauty of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve.ShriChaitramPawar was honoured for the first time with the inaugural Van Bhushan Award by Hon’bleSudhirMungantiwar celebrating his remarkable dedication to preserving our precious forest land.
In her remarks, Smt. Malini commended the efforts of the Maharashtra Forest Department and Minister Mr. SudhirMungantiwar in spearheading conservation initiatives and preserving the natural treasures of the region for future generations. She also presented Ganga Ballet with the troupe and spoke about how it plays a crucial role in raising awareness about wildlife conservation and fostering a sense of responsibility towards our natural environment.
