Resorts World One arrives in Jakarta for Inaugural Homeport Season

Travellers from Indonesia can now enjoy a cruise vacation with the convenience of embarking the Resorts World One cruise ship from Tanjung Priok in Jakarta weekly.

Resorts World One cruise ship arrives in Jakarta today for her seasonal homeport deployment in the country. This marks a new milestone as Resorts World Cruises  is the first international cruise line to homeport in Indonesia, offering four round-trip 6 Day / 5  Night Singapore – Kuala Lumpur Cruises on 16, 21 and 26 June 2024, as well as 1 July 2024.  Travellers from Indonesia can now enjoy a cruise vacation with the convenience of embarking the Resorts World One cruise ship from Tanjung Priok in Jakarta weekly. 

In conjunction with this milestone event, Resorts World Cruises together with the local  Indonesian authorities held a special celebratory event to welcome the maiden arrival and first  sailing of the Resorts World One from Jakarta, Indonesia. Upon the ship’s arrival, the  Indonesian tourism authority greeted disembarking tourists visiting Jakarta with a series of  cultural performances and welcoming souvenirs.  

Subsequently to commemorate and officially launch the inaugural sailing from Jakarta, another  event was held on the cruise ship with over 250 attendees, which was officiated by both Capt. Hendri Ginting M.M. , Director of Marine Safety & Seafarers, Directorate General of Sea 

Transportation, Ministry of Transportation and Mr. Itok Parikesit, Director of Special Interest  Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia. Other local  government authorities, travel and business partners, the media and key influencers, together  with Resorts World Cruises representatives were also present, which included its Executive  Chairman, Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, together with Puan Sri Cecilia Lim; Mr. Colin Au, CEO &  Executive Director and Mr. Michael Goh, President, as well as the operational management  team. Demand for the highly anticipated maiden sailing from Jakarta has been overwhelming  with a total of close to 3,500 guests and crew sailing out tonight.  

“On behalf of Resorts World Cruises, we are deeply excited to charter a new history here in  Indonesia and be part of this milestone event as the first international cruise line to homeport  in Indonesia with the Resorts World One. The responses have been very positive and we look  forward to a successful deployment from Jakarta,” said Mr. Michael Goh, President of Resorts  World Cruises. “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Indonesian government  and authorities, together with our travel partners and customers for their ongoing support.  Together, we are pioneering the growth of the Indonesian cruise tourism industry for both  inbound and outbound,” he added. 

Capt. Hendri Ginting M.M. , Director of Marine Safety & Seafarers, Directorate General of Sea  Transportation, Ministry of Transportation said, “On behalf of the Ministry of Transportation,  we would like to congratulate Resorts World Cruises on being the first international cruise line  to establish a homeport in Indonesia with the arrival of the Resorts World One. The presence  of the Resorts World One will not only stimulate the local economy, but also enrich the diversity  of our tourism destinations. With the luxurious accommodations and world-class facilities,  Resorts World One will attract a new segment of cruise passengers from both within and  outside the country”. 

Mr. Itok Parikesit, Director of Special Interest Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Creative  Economy of the Republic of Indonesia said, “It is our hope that the deployment of the Resorts  World One in Jakarta will provide positive prospects and increase the number of international  tourists visiting Indonesia, which will also boost the country’s foreign exchange. This  deployment will also enable the port of Tanjong Priok to not only be a homeport, but also a  cruise hub and destination for more cruise tourists to explore various local destinations”. 

Resorts World One is also certified as an OIC/SMIIC* Standard Halal-Friendly Cruise Ship,  which provide Muslim travellers with the convenience and access to certified Halal cuisines  that are available at a designated section at one of the onboard complimentary restaurants. Resorts World One also offer a wide range of Asian and international cuisine across the 18 bars and restaurants. As ‘A Resort Cruising at Sea’, there is more to discover onboard the 13  deck cruise ship, including complimentary access to selected dining restaurants, LIVE  international stage shows and recreational activities such as Roman themed Parthenon Pool  with a Caesar’s Slide and Jacuzzis, movie nights at sea and more. 

On the 6 Day / 5 Night Singapore – Kuala Lumpur Cruises, guests may choose a variety of  accommodations from Interior Staterooms to Oceanview, Balcony staterooms and the luxury  suites, “The Palace” – ‘a luxury ship-within-a ship’ private all-suite enclave with exclusive  restaurant, sundeck, gym and other facilities, including its own 24-hour European style butler service.

With each cruise voyage, Indonesians can travel in comfort on the Resorts World One cruise  ship and explore Southeast Asia’s popular destinations. Enjoy the advantages and  convenience of a cruise vacation without the hassle of packing and unpacking at each city.
