Michael Goh, President, Resorts World Cruises spoke to BOTT in an exclusive chat. He said, “India is one of the key source markets. Indians travel to Dubai a couple of times a year and they can enjoy this Cruise experience there. The MICE segment is important to us as one-third of our business from India is from MICE. We started Resorts World Cruises two years ago and in the last two years, we have been doing well. We are very optimistic and shall continue to bring in new experiences for our friends from India.” Speaking about hosting Indian weddings on the cruise he added, “Weddings are a big thing in India. Hosting weddings onboard a cruise ship is not something new to us. We have previously catered to Indian wedding groups of 400-500 people onboard and they had a fantastic experience”.
Naresh Rawal, Vice President – Sales & Marketing (India), Resorts World Cruises said, “We are very clear that we want to create various opportunities for our travel partners. Launching the Arabian Gulf itineraries is another way of telling them and creating business opportunities for these partners. We all love Dubai and the UAE and the convenience of reaching these destinations is far better than anywhere else in the world. The ship adapts itself not only in terms of the food offerings but the experiences as well. We are getting Asia into the UAE to cruise.”
