Led by IATO President Mr. Ravi Gosain, the delegation included Mr. Rajnish Kaistha (Senior Vice President), Mr. Sanjay Razdan (Vice President), Mr. Sunil Mishra (Honorary Secretary), Mr. Deepak K Bhatnagar (Honorary Treasurer), and Mr. Viney Tyagi (Honorary Joint Secretary).
During the meeting, the IATO team officially invited the Minister to attend the 40th IATO Annual Convention, scheduled to take place in Puri, Odisha, from August 22 to 25, 2025. In addition to extending the invitation, the delegation highlighted pressing issues impacting inbound tourism and emphasized the need for enhanced support from the Ministry to accelerate international tourist arrivals.
Minister Shekhawat welcomed the delegation and reiterated the government’s commitment to the tourism sector, noting that proactive steps are already underway to tackle existing challenges. He expressed confidence that positive developments will emerge soon in response to industry needs.
Describing the meeting as constructive and forward-looking, the IATO office bearers voiced hope that their proposals will receive due consideration. The interaction underscores the continuing efforts to strengthen partnerships between the government and tourism stakeholders to reinforce India’s position as a premier global travel destination.
