The Parliamentary Delegation was led by Hon’ble Azarel Ernesta, Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles. The delegation is on a visit to India from 01 to 06 September 2026 on the invitation of the Parliament of India under bilateral exchange. The leader and members of the delegation have been accorded the status of Guests of Parliament of India.
The visiting delegation included Hon’ble Azarel Ernesta, Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles; Hon’ble Churchilli Gill, MNA, United Seychelles, Chief Whip; Hon’ble Claudette Louise, MNA, United Seychelles; Hon’ble Sandy Arrisol, MNA, Chief Whip, LDS; Hon’ble Valdana Sultana, MNA, LDS; H.E. Mrs. Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner; Ms. Alexandria Faure, Deputy Clerk; Mr. Nickery Antat, Director, Office of the Speaker; Mr. Dave Payet, Security Officer; Shri Kh. Ginlal Chung, Deputy Secretary; and Shri Ravi Shankar, Liaison Officer.
The delegation was received at the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal by Shri Adesh Titarmare, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, along with senior officials of Mumbai Port Authority.
During the visit, the delegation was shown around the terminal and briefed on the facilities, including passenger arrival and departure processes. The officials also presented an overview of Mumbai Port’s cruise infrastructure and its role in supporting cruise tourism, passenger movement and maritime connectivity on India’s western coast.
Shri Adesh Titarmare, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, also briefed the delegation on the proposed Mumbai Marina Project and its importance for marine tourism, harbour-linked services, sailing, yacht infrastructure and public-facing waterfront development in Mumbai.
The delegation showed keen interest in the sustainability measures and environmental compliance initiatives undertaken by Mumbai Port Authority. They were also apprised of the Port’s efforts towards cleaner operations, responsible harbour development and improved passenger infrastructure.
Mumbai International Cruise Terminal is one of the important passenger infrastructure facilities developed by Mumbai Port Authority. The terminal supports modern cruise operations and forms part of Mumbai Port’s larger work in cruise tourism, harbour services, passenger facilities and public-facing maritime infrastructure.
During the visit, mementoes and shawls were presented to the delegation by Shri Adesh Titarmare, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority.
