The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) successfully hosted the Korea Tourism Roadshows in New Delhi and Mumbai on March 12 and March 13, 2026, respectively, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening engagement with the Indian travel trade and presenting key initiatives aimed at further boosting Indian visitor arrivals to the country.
KTO introduced the latest trade-focused initiatives for 2026, including the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) program and the K-Incentive Scheme 4.0, both designed to support travel partners in developing high-quality Korea travel experiences.
Korea recorded close to 200,000 visitors from India in 2025, reflecting an increase of 13% compared to the previous year, underscoring the continued growth of the Indian outbound market. Globally, Korea welcomed close to 19 million international visitors, surpassing its annual target and highlighting the destination’s strong global appeal.
Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, Korea Tourism Organization, said, “India continues to be an important and high-potential market for Korea’s tourism industry. We are encouraged by the steady growth in Indian arrivals and the increasing interest among travellers in Korea’s culture and experiences. Building on this momentum, KTO aims to welcome around 270,000 Indian visitors in 2026, while continuing to support our travel trade partners through initiatives such as the KPTC program and K-Incentive Scheme 4.0.”
The roadshows in Delhi and Mumbai form part of KTO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with the Indian travel trade and expand awareness of Korea’s diverse tourism offerings.
Under the K-Incentive Scheme 4.0, travel agencies are invited to develop Korea-specific travel packages that incorporate at least one local city beyond Seoul, encouraging Indian travellers to explore diverse regions such as Busan, Gangwon State, Jeollanam-do, or Gyeongju. Participating agencies are required to submit a proposal outlining their itinerary and promotional approach. Selected partners will receive visa facilitation support, promotional assistance, and performance-based rewards, with top-performing agencies being recognised at the end of the program.

The Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) program is an exclusive certification initiative designed for travel agents specialising in premium travel to Korea. Through structured training sessions, the program provides in-depth insights into Korea’s luxury experiences and equips agents with the expertise to curate high-end itineraries.
Participating agencies are encouraged to design premium travel packages featuring five-star or luxury accommodation and at least one iconic high-end Korean experience.
The first webinar for the KPTC program is scheduled for March 23, 2026.
As KTO continues to deepen engagement with the Indian travel trade, these initiatives aim to equip partners with enhanced support and opportunities to further position Korea as a preferred destination for Indian travellers.
