The Group has impacted more than one million lives and directly supported over 300,000 individuals through programmes linked to hospitality, healthcare, inclusion and livelihood generation. It is also recognised as India’s largest private-sector employer of transgender persons, with more than 250 transgender employees working across various operational roles.
Through 13 LGBTQIA+ job fairs, the Group has connected with over 10,000 jobseekers and facilitated more than 1,500 placements. In addition, focused livelihood initiatives have supported over 500 persons with disabilities and more than 50 acid attack survivors.
The company has also launched destination-led skilling programmes in Khajuraho, Bekal, Mangar and Goa to create local employment opportunities connected to tourism and hospitality. These initiatives aim to strengthen community participation and reduce migration from smaller destinations.
Its education arm, The LaLiT Suri Hospitality School, is working towards building a future-ready workforce by combining technical training with communication skills, professionalism and operational exposure.
In partnership with Hotel Association of India, the institution is focusing on bridging the gap between hospitality education and industry expectations through enhanced practical training and skill development.
The Group’s wider skilling ecosystem has trained over 3,000 LGBTQIA+ individuals through PrideKraft and more than 70 young professionals under the Emerging Queer Leaders in Hospitality programme. Alongside Keshav Suri Foundation, the Group has also facilitated vocational workshops and scholarships for students from diverse communities.
During the pandemic, The LaLiT repurposed hotel infrastructure to support frontline workers and healthcare initiatives, while also assisting with meal distribution, PPE support and vaccination drives.
Through its people-centric approach, The LaLiT continues to position hospitality as a tool for inclusion, empowerment and community development in India.
