About the journey.
The company was founded by my father in 1979 as a small recruitment company in which we used to give travel services.It was registered as a Private Limited Company in 1996. We are a thousand two hundred crore company today in terms of the GMV. I joined in 2012 and started the online vertical since the business was evolving and transforming into the online sphere. Our focus and vision is to expand our footprints with our online booking agents in the B2B space and offer multiple products under one umbrella. We are also a DMC for South India specialising in destinations like Kerela, Karnataka and Tail Nadu because we have our roots in the South and the infrastructure facilities we have in the southern part of India. That is the way forward and we are in that expansion mode and this is the initial step towards it in the year 2024. We look forward to increasing our footprints Pan India.
We have shifted to this new space and it is triple the space now as we wanted to give some facilities, a team-building room to have team-building activities for our team members. This office gives us this opportunity to do that. As we are in the expansion mode, we are increasing our workforce so we needed more seating capacity.
Changes in travel patterns post-pandemic:
Post-pandemic travel experiences, travel requirements and the travel thought process have changed. People are willing to spend more on experiences. They are not saving up as they want to explore more of the world. It’s been a strong sentiment when it comes to travel and they want to have these experiences with their families and partners. It’s like ‘Live for the moment’.
Vision for 2024
Our vision for the upcoming year is to increase our GMV by 25% at least. We are increasing our sales force from city to city from Tier 2 to Tier 3 cities and increasing our presence. That is our initial vision for the year.
