Emaar Hospitality Group has set its focus to capture new markets internationally. With a number of openings, the group is expanding and growing its portfolio in major and upcoming destinations in the region including Bahrain and Turkey. A high profile delegation from Emaar Hospitality Group was recently in India for a two-city roadshow in Delhi and Mumbai. The roadshow was held to strengthen relationships with the leading travel agents and tour operators in an effort to encourage Indian travellers to visit. India is one of the biggest outbound markets in the world and is certainly the biggest for Dubai, and amongst the top 10 for Bahrain and Turkey.
During the event, Mr. Mark Kirby, Head of Emaar Hospitality Group who feels deeply connected to the Indian Market for its positive energy and contributions to the hospitality industry, shared some interesting insights in an exclusive chat with BOTT.
“Our collaboration with the Nijhawan Group is 10 years old and it shows our seriousness for the India market. We are fortunate that even during the pandemic, it was our solid eco-system that helped us sail through. Throughout the pandemic, we learned to work together will all of our entities. In the UAE, we became known for our staycation – we worked on our strengths and worked closely with Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa to package in the entertain deliverables. Emaar hotels were probably the first to reopen very quickly post Covid and we learned our way and adjusted to the requirements of the time. We kept talking and communicating with our customers and kept them informed about the latest happening at our properties,” Mark shared.
Defining its competency in managing mixed-use property developments, Emaar Hospitality Group owns and manages a diversified portfolio of assets including hotels, serviced residences, golf clubs, polo club, marina, and lifestyle dining restaurants. Emaar Hospitality Group has defined its credentials in the hotel industry with the launch of three brands, each with a distinct niche – Address Hotels + Resorts, Vida Hotels and Resorts and Rove Hotels. Emaar Hospitality is the Official Hotel, Hospitality and Catering Partner for Expo 2020 Dubai.
“We saw a very positive feedback, especially from the India market, all because of that constant communication we kept on during the Covid. We didn’t lose contact with our customers,” he elaborated.
Talking about the MICE traffic returning to the UAE, Mark said, “We are seeing a very positive trend in the first quarter of 2022 in terms of MICE movement. Infact, we have exceeded our targets, which is a very positive indication that the situation is turning to normal,” adding, “India is in the top 10 course markets for us and we take our relations with the India market very seriously.”
Emaar Hospitality Group is represented in India through the Nijhawan Group for over a decade and has experienced an impressive growth in the Indian market.
On the occasion, Priyanka Nijhawan, Director, Nijhawan Group said, “We are thrilled and excited for the year 2022 as travel and tourism is fully revived. We conducted Emaar Hospitality Group’s roadshow in India after 4 years and we were very keen to know more about the portfolio. We thank all our partners for their continuous support.”
The group’s portfolio is organically expanding within the UAE to explore different parts of the country. As part of their ‘natural openings,’ they launched Address Beach Resort Fujairah, and Vida Beach Resort Umm Al Quwain last year. For the first time, Emaar Hospitality Group has also captured new regions outside the UAE with successful openings of Address Istanbul and Vida Al Marassi Bahrain. As the group is set to expand further, it has new openings planned in 2022 that will further build on the brand’s reputation for offering premium luxury experiences.
One of the key achievements for the brand will be the launch of its first property in Saudi Arabia with the opening of Address Jabal Omar Makkah scheduled to unveil in 2022. The hotel development pipeline is carefully curated towards capturing niche and luxury markets in the region.
The Luxury Travel Partner Program by Emaar Hospitality Group was first launched in India in 2021 and proved to be a great success. India is one of the leading markets for the brand as it offers one of the most valuable strategic elements for growth and success.
