Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri surprised the people as well as airlines in India when it announced that domestic airlines will be allowed to resume operations in a calibrated manner from all major airports across the country starting Monday, May 25, 2020. The move has provided relief to many of the stranded passengers who are stuck away from home.
All airports and airlines have been informed to be ready to recommence operations, the minister said on twitter adding that standard operating procedures (SOPs) for passenger movement are being separately issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The list of airports from where flights will resume is not certain.
