Discover the World – India has appointed Gaurav Bhatura as Director – Aviation, India. With close to 25 years of experience across global airlines, airport marketing, aviation regulatory affairs, and commercial leadership, Bhatura will lead airline representation, business development, and market growth initiatives for the company and its clients in India.
Prior to joining Discover the World, Bhatura served as Vice President & Business Head at Balmer Lawrie, where he led a nationwide team and successfully drove significant revenue growth. He has also held the role of Country Head / Director – Thai Smile Airways, during which he launched operations across seven Indian gateways. His professional journey includes leadership roles with InterGlobe, GMR–DIAL, Singapore Airlines, and KLM, along with extensive airline representation experience across multiple regions.
An IIM Lucknow alumnus, Bhatura is a respected industry mentor and is widely recognised for building strong trade partnerships and enabling successful market entry and growth for airline brands in India.
