Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands and operator of the award-winning GHA DISCOVERY loyalty programme, has announced the winners of its 2026 GHA awards.
Cheval Collection was crowned Best Cross-Brand Contribution, recognised for the enrolling brand that inspired the most member stays across other GHA brands. Within the first six months, enrolment targets were exceeded by 40% with one property achieving 500% of its enrolment target. GHA’s benchmark data shows an anticipated 30% of total revenue to be member revenue. Cheval Collection exceeded GHA’s global standard across all alliance brands, achieved in the first six months of the programme’s launch.
The group is the first serviced apartment operator in Europe to have joined the programme, which has more members per room than any other loyalty scheme in the sector.
Mohammed Alawadhi, Managing Director, Cheval Collection said: “This award is a fantastic recognition of the strength of the CHEVAL DISCOVERY partnership and the value that collaboration across the GHA delivers for both guests and member brands. To be recognised as the brand that inspired the most member stays across other GHA properties is especially rewarding, as it reflects the trust our guests place in Cheval Collection and their confidence in exploring the wider GHA portfolio. Loyalty is about creating meaningful travel experiences beyond a single stay and we’re proud to play a role in driving engagement across the partnership while continuing to welcome new and returning guests to our own properties.”
GHA CEO Chris Hartley commented: “Congratulations to our winners for their outstanding accomplishments. Their achievements demonstrate the strength of collaboration and innovation among alliance member brands, inspired by a spirit of healthy competition and best practice, that continues to drive the success of GHA DISCOVERY and create value for all member brands.”
The GHA awards formed part of the alliance’s annual CEO conference, which brought together leaders from GHA’s hotel brands for the first-ever GHA CEO meeting held at sea onboard the Seven Seas Splendor.
The event was attended by over 40 CEOs and senior executives from across GHA’s global network including Mohammed Alawadhi, Managing Director, Cheval Collection.
The award announcement came a week after four properties in Cheval Collection’s global estate were recognised by the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2026 and shortly after the group entered the branded residences sector with the launch of Cheval Residences Knightsbridge Gate in London and Cheval Residences Dubai Islands.
The opening of the Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai in March 2025 took Cheval Collection to over 950 units and the group is due to debut in Saudi Arabia in 2027, with Cheval Ladun Living, located in Riyadh followed by Cheval Maison Sulaymaniyah in 2028.
