Kenya Tourism Board partners with Emirates, Qatar Airways
Kenya Tourism Board has signed MoUs with Emirates and Qatar Airways to strengthen tourism arrivals from the Middle East. The partnerships will combine airline connectivity with destination marketing, trade engagement and media familiarisation programmes. KTB is targeting 50,000 visitors from the region, up from 20,480 in 2025/26, with an envisaged economic contribution of KSh15 billion through visitor spending.
IHG signs 92-Key voco Resort Kanatal in Uttarakhand
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed voco Resort Kanatal with Yamini Marketing’s (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., to be managed by United Hospitality Management India. Scheduled to open in 2030, the 92-key resort will feature three dining venues, meeting and event spaces, a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and kids’ play area. The property will strengthen IHG’s premium leisure portfolio in Uttarakhand’s emerging mountain destination.
Juniper Hotels to acquire Novotel Imagicaa for ₹248 Crore
Juniper Hotels has signed a binding MoU with Imagicaaworld Entertainment to acquire Novotel Imagicaa for ₹248 crore. Located in Khopoli near Mumbai and Pune, the five-star hotel features 287 rooms across an approximately 11-acre site. The acquisition will strengthen Juniper’s presence in leisure, social and MICE segments, while offering potential for additional banqueting capacity and future rebranding into the upper-upscale segment.
Royal Orchid Hotels launches Regenta Magnus in Pune
Royal Orchid Hotels has expanded its Pune presence with the launch of Regenta Magnus in Viman Nagar. The upscale hotel currently offers 66 rooms and suites, with 39 additional rooms planned by December 2026, taking the inventory to 105 keys. Facilities include Mellan restaurant, Cocobrisa café and bar, a rooftop infinity pool and banquet halls, complemented by convenient airport and metro connectivity.
