Indian Airlines to expand international routes, reports ICRA
India’s aviation sector is poised for significant growth, particularly in international travel. According to a recent report by ICRA titled “Dominance of Foreign Airlines on International Routes Offers Growth Potential for Indian Carriers,” international passenger traffic for Indian airlines is projected to increase by 15-20% in the financial years 2025 and 2026. Meanwhile, domestic passenger traffic is expected to grow at a relatively slower pace of 7-10% annually.
