The historic agreement was formalized at the International Conference on Uniting North and South – For Sustainable Development in the Arctic, held at the Vivekananda International Foundation in New Delhi. The MOU signifies a strategic partnership between NIMA and RST to promote collaboration and enhance mutual business opportunities in the tourism sector.
Strengthening Indo-Russian Tourism Ties
Under this agreement, both organizations will focus on joint development and expert evaluation of various tourism projects, aiming to promote Russia as a leading destination in the international MICE market. The partnership is expected to bolster business exchanges, create networking opportunities, and drive innovation in the global tourism landscape.
The MOU was signed by Dr. Nitin Mittal, National Coordinator of NIMA, and Mr. Vadim Mamontov, Vice President of RST. The signing ceremony was graced by senior dignitaries, including the Head of the Vivekananda International Foundation, the Indian Ambassador to Russia, and other notable officials.
Expanding NIMA’s Global Reach
NIMA’s delegation at the event included Mr. Vikas Khanduri (Advisor), Mr. Gajesh Girdhar (Chairman, Governing Council), Mr. Rakesh Arora (Head of Administration, Finance & Membership), and Mr. Prashant Chaudhary (Coordinator for CIS Countries). The association has already built strong ties with the Moscow City Tourism Council and is now expanding its outreach across the Russian region.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nitin Mittal stated,
