San Francisco International Airport reaches post-pandemic milestone
The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) reached a post-pandemic milestone last Thursday and Friday, exceeding 70,000 departing passengers per day through its checkpoints for the first time in over three years. SFO is looking forward to a busy summer travel season. The summer travel season will begin in earnest on Friday, May 26, 2023, with approximately 140,000 forecasted passengers traveling through SFO. In total, 14.9 million travellers are expected at SFO between Memorial Day and Labor Day, which represents about 85% of summer travel levels in 2019.
Scoot announces network sales in India to 17 destinations
Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has launched a network sale from May 16 to 20, 2023. Customers in Amritsar, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli and Vishakhapatnam can look forward to planning their trips in advance to 17 destinations in Southeast Asia and East Asia, with airfares starting as low as Rs. 6,200*. For travels until 31 August 2023.
OYO announces 60% discount for nearby international destinations
OYO has announced a special discount scheme for Indian tourists planning to visit Southeast Asia and Middle East for summer holidays. They can avail up to 60% discount on their stay in OYO hotels and OYO homes in countries that include Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines in Southeast Asia and United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain in the Middle East.
Noida International Airport chooses Amadeus as a technology partner
Noida International Airport (NIA) has signed an agreement with Amadeus for the provision of a world-class passenger processing system (PPS) including common use check-in, boarding, baggage reconciliation, and DigiYatra enabled biometric capabilities. Under the agreement, Amadeus will design, supply, commission, operate, and maintain the cloud-hosted end-to-end PPS for Noida International Airport. Amadeus will also provide a host of smart and modern capabilities including biometric-based DigiYatra integration at every passenger touch point.
