FHRAI’s 2nd Tourism Sustainability Summit 2025 charts a Greener Course for Indian Hospitality
The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in collaboration with PHDCCI, successfully hosted the 2nd Tourism Sustainability Summit 2025 on March 26 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. The event brought together over 350 key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry experts, and hospitality leaders, to discuss sustainability as a critical component of the sector’s long-term viability.
Goa to incentivise airlines that bring in high-spending foreign tourists
Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte recently in the state’s legislative assembly said that his government was working on a new initiative aimed at attracting high-spending international tourists through incentives for specific countries and airlines. He revealed that from April 1, all hotels and guest houses in Goa would be required to upload guest data on the Tourism Information Management Enterprises the (TIME) software, a move that has been designed to streamline tourism management in the state.
Himachal Pradesh to introduce 297 Electric Buses
In a major step towards sustainable transportation, the Himachal Pradesh government has announced the introduction of 297 electric buses, including 24 luxury buses, under the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). This initiative aims to enhance public transportation by improving connectivity, reducing pollution, and offering a more comfortable travel experience for residents and tourists alike.
Minor Hotels announces upcoming debut of NH Collection Brand in Paraguay
Minor Hotels has announced its upcoming debut in Paraguay with the development of a new NH Collection hotel in Asunción. The project will be located on Avenida Santa Teresa, 400 metres from the intersection with Avenida Aviadores del Chaco, one of the most important and dynamic arteries of the Paraguayan capital. Slated to launch in 2029, the new-build property will have 80 guest rooms and will be operated under the NH Collection brand.
