IHG expands footprint in Bengaluru with new Holiday Inn in Electronic City
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Thanishq Hospitality to launch Holiday Inn Bengaluru Electronic City, set to open in Q1 2029. Strengthening IHG’s footprint in India, the 200-key property will feature the brand’s signature Open Lobby concept, three dining venues, versatile meeting spaces, a fitness centre, pool, and ample parking. It will serve both business and leisure travellers.
Govt allots INR 1.12 cr for renovation of Munnar, Devikulam guesthouses
The government has allotted INR1,12,75,000 for the renovation of Government Guesthouses under the Tourism Department in Munnar and Devikulam of the hill-district. While INR 58.3 lakh has been allocated for the renovation of the guest house in Munnar, works totalling INR 54.45 lakh will be taken up in Devikulam guest house. The works will be completed within eight months and six months respectively.

DXB set for summer surge with over 3.4 million guests
Dubai International (DXB) is entering a period of sustained peak operations, with more than 3.4 million guests expected to travel through the airport between 27 June and 9 July 2025. Daily volumes are forecast to average over 265,000 with the busiest day on 5 July for both departures and transfer traffic. Dubai Airports, alongside its stakeholders, has activated an integrated summer readiness plan to ensure guest journeys remain safe and efficient.
