RT-PCR not required for passengers coming to Mumbai from other Maharashtra airports
Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued an order on Monday that all domestic air passengers originating from airports located within Maharashtra to Mumbai are exempted from RT-PCR test requirement upon landing in Mumbai. All domestic air passengers travelling from Mumbai airport to airports located within Maharashtra, airport operator/airlines shall not insist on RT-PCR test/Certificate requirements. The rules were enforced after the BMC wrote a letter to airline station managers and CEOs of various airlines including Go Air, Indigo, Vistara, SpiceJet etc and directed them to mention the government directives about mandatory negative RT-PCR test on the flight tickets.
JNTO launches new insider guide featuring unique attractions of Japan
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has launched a brand new insider information to Japan categorized into seven topics that will motivate tourists. These themes of “Nature, Outdoors, Tradition, Cuisine, Relaxation, Art and Cities are linked to a concept of “Wellcation” (a blend of well-being and vacation), which helps guests relieving stress and anxiety arising from “new norms” of the past year and a half. According to a statement, the contents also cover various Japanese attractions from culture and cuisine, up to date events, newly established sightseeing spots and recent travel trends.
West Coast Canal to be made Tourism Water-Highway
The 633 km West Coast Canal (WCC), the main arterial waterway in the State-traversing through 11 districts, being made navigable with National Waterways specifications is to be made a Tourism Water-Highway. The canal will be constructed with the specification of the National Waterways to give a major fillip to inland backwater tourism in Kerala. The water-highway is expected to reduce the pressure on the road networks and provide tourists with the opportunity to cruise through the ancient water highways.
