Saudia concludes first phase of the Hajj Season 1445H
Saudia has successfully concluded the first phase of operations for its Hajj season 1445H, marked by the completion of arrival flights. The last flight arrived recently at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah from Riyadh, carrying 445 Hajj pilgrims. During the arrival phase, which lasted 32 days, seamless cooperation between various government entities ensured a smooth experience for Hajj pilgrims.
Airbus Helicopters partners with Heligo to introduce H145 in India
Airbus Helicopters’ H145 has entered India’s energy sector with Heligo Charters (HCPL). The first of these helicopters has been deployed for offshore transportation with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The H145 is the latest member of Airbus’s twin-engine rotorcraft product range, designed for mission capability and flexibility, particularly in high and hot operating conditions.
Akasa Air launches Mumbai-Riyadh daily flight operations
Akasa Air is now operating daily flight operations between Mumbai and Ridyadh, the airline said in a statement. As per the company, the inaugural flight on June 15, 2024 departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. The maiden flight was flagged off by Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air.
Thomas Cook India & SOTC Travel see significant growth in domestic travel
Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel are seeing good growth in domestic travel with top destinations being Kashmir, North East, Andamans, Kerala and Goa. The Summer demand is up by 30% vs last year and average spends are higher by 25% over the same period last year. While short breaks of 4 to 5 nights remain popular, there has been significant growth in long stays of 15 days.
