ATT-ITDC signs MoU with CISF to provide online travel solution
Ashok Travels and Tours (ATT), the Travel division of India Tourism Development Corporation, New Delhi (ITDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Under the MoU, ATT will provide online travel solution for booking air tickets and travel-related services to 414 units and commands of CISF during official journeys. The MoU was signed by Shri. Rajiv Anand GM (ATT) and Shri. V K Yadav, AIG Admn on June 16, 2021, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
FAITH Associations urge CMs for ‘proportionate relief’ on statutory obligations
Associations under FAITH (ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI & TAFI) have reached out to the chief ministers of all states for on statutory obligations to the pandemic hit tourism industry and other measures. Faith has highlighted that after a devastating financial year in 2020-21, Tourism business in India in FY 2021-22 will continue to be highly restricted due to stringent travel requirements, reduced international and domestic connectivity and apprehension of people to travel. This will heavily impact viability of tourism enterprises and jobs. With NIL to negligible business expected for tourism, travel and hospitality companies they have requested a complete waiver on Excise Duties, Property Taxes, Interstate Tourist Transport Taxes and more.
